- The knuckle and finger joints have raised paint in order
to catch and reflect light. An old and cheap trick that still
works well. Shallow light catches the edges of the paint and
creates a ghostly effect as shown. Many edges of the paint on
this artwork are strategically raised to catch light. The texture
of the painting surface is also visable in this photo.
