- Question:
- Is the "McMillan Handlebar Simulator"
a prototype?
- Answer:
- -- Yes the unit shown is a Prototype ( #2
) and as such it has a much wider range of adjustment than is
necessary in order to establish the best locations for all the
various parts. And to see where to greatly simplify the machining
steps and reduce the number of parts required on future units.
-
- Question:
- Will you make more "McMillan Handlebar
Simulator" units?
- Answer:
- -- Yes, four more units are in progress (
clones of #2 ) and about 80% complete. All units have more than
adaquate ajustment range, such as from a 1/4 in to 1/2 inch of
Throttle Rotation adjustment, Lever Pressure Feel, and Reach
adjustments for Front and Back Brakes ( unit is fully adjustable
but not overkill )
-
- Question:
- How many miles are on this Prototype #2 "McMillan
Handlebar Simulator" unit?
- Answer:
- -- Several thousand at this time, I.E. over
a years use without changing the position of anything, Minor
cable adjustments and lube pivots
-
- Question:
- How does the "McMillan Handlebar Simulator"
work ?
- Answer:
- -- The unit has Front and Rear Brakes and
a Throttle,
- -- T T #1 has Combined or Seperate brakes
in Options, I use Seperate )
- -- Brakes are Lever operated. Left Lever
is Rear Brake, and Right Lever is Front Brake
- -- Lever Pressure Feel, and Reach adjustments
for Front and Rear Brakes
- -- 1/4 in to 1/2 inch of Throttle Rotation
adjustment,
- -- Unit is fully adjustable but not overkill
)
- -- Three Springs on each side attenuate a
Mechanical Forced Feedback feel. Start, Middle, and Full turn
are adjustable
- -- Handlebars are self centering (due to
the 3 springs)
- -- A Stoker Stem is used to raise and lower
the bars. Higher the bars the slower the steering, the lower
the quicker the steering.
- -- Stoker Stem is in effect an adjustable
length Joystick, ( I.E. the handlebars do turn the PS4 Controller
Joystick left and right.)
- -- This unit Holds and Operates a PS4 Controller
and has Stops to prevent damage to the PS4 Controller
- -- 100 % compatable with a Playstation or
PC
-

unit compatable with T T #2 ?
